JAPAN’S EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI APPEAL
Charity dinner & Auction
100% of the earnings made on the night will go to Red Cross Australia as a relief donation
We are still saddened by the recent events in the Tohoku region.
Our deepest sympathy and thoughts go out to those affected.
What can we do?
Japanese chefs from 13 restaurants in Sydney have stood up to do what they can do.
Bring joy & happiness through cooking.
From modern Japanese to BBQ restaurant and Ramen to fine dining, although everyone’s fields are different they all have same feeling towards this event.
With the night’s stunningly unique 7 course degustation, it will whisk you away to a distinguished evening of fine food and fine drinks.
It will be a greatest pleasure if this one happy moment could contribute to the revival of Japan.
Comment by Dr. Masahiro Kohara (Consulate-general of Japan)
"Due to the enormous damage caused by the earthquake and tsunamis which occurred on 11 March 2011, people who have lost their families, friends, homes and possessions, as a result, are desperately trying to get through what is an extremely difficult and saddening set of circumstances.
With these people in our thoughts, we would like to lend our hand to help those who have been affected by this tragedy.
This Charity Dinner seeks to demonstrate this will to help which is currently broadening throughout Sydney.
I sincerely hope the thoughts and support of many in Sydney will reach those affected in the disaster-stricken areas of Japan."
